新型コロナ対応で国防生産法を発動

President Donald Trump said he’ll invoke the Defense Production Act to address the coronavirus outbreak.
The law gives the government more latitude in emergencies to direct industrial production. “We will be invoking the Defense Production Act,” Trump said at a White House news conference on Wednesday.
He didn’t say how he would use the authority.

トランプ米大統領は3月18日、ホワイトハウスで記者会見し、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に対応するため、「国防生産法を発動する」と表明した。
この法律により、米政府は緊急時に産業界に生産を直接指示する権限が与えられる。
